Spending money is something we all do and it is a lot easier than making it. Many teenagers receive pocket money from their parents and most of them spend it right away. That is why I think that the youth nowadays do not recognize the value of money. But by stimulating those teenagers to apply for a part-time job, will give them a different look towards their spending.
There are many alternatives for teenagers to choose what kind of part-time job they want. If you are interested in socializing while working, then I advise you to work as a waiter or in the supermarket. If you like to be outside, I would recommend you to deliver newspapers. Besides these options, you can choose to design websites, tutoring, babysitting, pizza delivering and much more!
"But why would I want a part-time job in the first place? I will have less time to devote it to my study and will not be able to perform at my highest ability in class. Furthermore, I will have less spare time to socialize and enjoy the “college experience.”
That is true but you should reconsider the fact that when you have a part-time job, you will develop useful skills, develop connections since you are networking, gaining a lot of experience and last but not least, time management. Which is the most important one in my point of view, student who take a job on top of their study will have less free time compared to non-working students. When working students have to measure out their time and weigh their priority, they tend to be better in planning as they make sure to finish their responsibilities.
Apart from the fact that you earn money with a part-time job, you learn a lot too!

Family
Throughout my life, I have loved, I have lied, I have hurt, I have lost, I have missed, I have trusted, I have made mistakes, but, most of all ... I have learned!
Today, on the 15th of December 2013, it is my grandfather's 79st birthday. But unfortunately we can not celebrate this day with him since he passed away on the 24st of March. First of all, I would like to thank him for everything he did for me. He is one of the most important people in my life which shaped me on how I am.
When you are young, you are careless, irresponsible and there is nothing on your mind. But as the older you get, the wiser you become. I still remember those moment, when I was ungrateful towards my family and wished for others. But in hindsight I should not complain. Your family is the place where you feel safe, they keep you through thick and thin and it is the place where your identity comes from. Although you can choose your friends, it does not apply to your family. Therefore, you must create a good bond with them.
One among the greatest gifts that we get in life is to take part out of a blessed family. In fact, the first gift which you receive from God, are your parents. The ones who supports you, teaches you the value of life and the importance of love and being loved. Your family should be your priority, you should love them with all your heart and keep them precious. Appreciate every moment you have with them before it is too late when you realize that they just passed away.

Mind your Ps and Qs
One of the things that bothers me the most, is the behaviour of some people in general. Especially in the company of others. That is why I think that minding your Ps and Qs is the key to succes. Courtesy is one of the few things you are judged on at the first impression. Let me give you some examples.
If you are a guest in a friend's house, you should act properly. Assuming that it is your first time at his or her house, you should introduce yourself to his or her parents, siblings and the rest of the family by shaking their hand. On the other hand, if you have once been there already, you should atleast say hello. You do this because of politeness and showing respect to your host. Treat others like you want to be treated.
Another great example is to open the door for someone else. It is something what many people do not do while it only takes a small amount of effort. Another of such an example is to respect your elders and betters by giving up your seat and let them take place in pubic transport.
Besides these tips, it is also very important to dress accordingly and mind on what you do and how you act in certain situations. If you are at school, you can choose to dress more casually but if you decide to go out for dinner. You should choose to wear something more formal and appropriate, not a cap or a beanie.
The intention of this blogpost is not meant to persuade my readers to follow all the etiquettes I named. But to bring the message of making atleast an effort on how to behave in public. I believe that if you from now on start and think on how to behave, act and dress. Many people will start to appreciate you even more and will look up at you!

Knowledge is Power
One
of the things that I have questioned myself lately was: 'What is the meaning
behind making your homework, studying and learning?'
Recently when I was in class, a friend of mine asked the teacher: 'You
tell us that this is important for the exam and what we have to be able to do
for the final exams of our middle school career. But are we actually just
studying to pass our final exams or are we supposed to learn something, enlarge
our knowledge and develop our mind?' This got me thinking, if the purpose of
everything what we are doing at school is just to let us pass our exams, then
there is something wrong about our education system.
A majority of students complain about the things you do in class. Take
for example a mathematics lesson, when the teacher was explaining the Pythagorean
Theorem or the quadratic equation you probably thought: 'Why are we even
learning this? I will never use this in a lifetime!' I have to admit, that is
also how I thought but I have learned that you should be grateful and
appreciate that you receive education in the first place. You should enjoy your
time making homework, studying for exams and get the best time out of the wise
lectures which teachers pass on to you. There are children who live on the same
planet as you do, who are suffering from poverty and will never get a chance to
have scholarship and become an academic individual.
Another point that I would like to add is that you should make your homework for yourself and not for the teacher. The purpose of attending class is to learn something, not to satisfy the supervisor. The time that they had to spend their years behind counters are over. You are here for yourself and only for yourself. If you fail your exams due to the lack of perseverance, there is nobody to blame except yourself. Just keep in mind that you do this for your own good.
Our education system is not perfect yet, but we can at least try to squeeze the best out of it!
A New Chapter of Your Life
Let's start with the fact that these years are very important and life changing. You will have to start off with making new friends, being open for new and unfamiliar things and to adapt to your new environment. But the most problematic and probably the toughest challenge to overcome, is to actually do something to earn high grades. If you are afraid of going to mess up, not being smart enough or simply not fit in. Then I will give you a few tips so you can start off with a great impression to students and teachers in your secondary school career!
#1. Be friendly, polite and open for new things.
#2. Meet new people. Do not stick on the same people you are already familiar with. Challenge yourself and start a conversation with someone
#3. Do your best in all classes. Make your homework, ask questions if you do not understand what the teachers are trying to say but at the same time, do not try to be the teacher's pet.
#4. To achieve good grades, you have to put time and effort in it. This will make college a lot easier!
#5. Do not be shy, be confident and yourself. Being insecure will not help you to go anywhere.
#6. Be respectful to everyone, treat everyone like you want to be treated and even to the ones you do not like.
#7. Get organized. Keep your work together, take notes of important things and have a planner.
#8. Sleep on time. A good night's sleep makes it possible that you can concentrate.
#9. Join an interesting club or sport if your school offers them. You will be surprised of the amount of people that share the same interest.
#10. You only have one chance to show your first impression, make good use of it!
